So good. It’s hard to find decent food in the area and that’s a gem Update: went with friends. We ordered and then realised we want more food, the waitress just poured the new food on the used dish. It was really odd.
Excellent way to get to know Eritrean cuisine... it's like Ethiopian, but with some differences. We had the two combos: one veg and the other with meat. All of the dishes were great! Although we missed the hard-boiled egg with the chicken, the tastes were all very much alive and interesting. The house-made honey wine and the Asmara beer were excellent!
Their mostly teff-based injera is the best I've ever eaten, and the tibbs was spiced to perfection. The service is also very good, and the waitresses are very kind and answered all my questions. Nonetheless, it's a bit pricey for what it is, so be ready to break the bank $44 for an entrée and a glass of wine).
Every bite was worth every dollar! The food and ambiance were fantastic, and Letina’s Mes was a wine unlike anything I’ve ever tried. Good vegan options too.
