However, there were some communication problems as my drink never came, and the beans were missing from my plate. The replacement beans were also cold. The radiator next to the door seemed to be either off or not functioning properly. The staff was friendly and more welcoming compared to the delicatessen across the street.
I was hesitant to write a review for Oliver's Cafe because I adore it so much and wanted to keep it my little secret! However, the breakfasts, brunches, and light food here are so delicious and affordable that I had to share. I make the trek from miles away just for their exceptional coffee and scrambled eggs on seeded sourdough toast. They also have options for vegans. The back room with a glass ceiling is bright and inviting, with beautiful artwork on the walls by one of the owners. They even have a children's corner with books and crayons. Parking is usually available outside or nearby.
This was worth the 10 min walk from my hotel. I had the halloumi salad with avocado and a cup of hot tea. A very nice lunch. Good service and nice atmosphere. The place is a Chinese take-out restaurant by night — the sign out front through me off as I got to the door.
A local Belsize Village establishment that has friendly service, good quality food and a quick and easy option as a change from eating at home. With a great family story as well, recommend a visit to Oliver's Village Cafe.
This place is an absolute gem in a lovely neighborhood. The back room was very nice with lots of natural light and the staff was very friendly. We visited for breakfast and was treated to a fantastic meal. My wife got a mixed fruit dish and I got their traditional English breakfast. Strongly recommend to anyone living in London or visiting. It is a fantastic place.
