The Waterfront Restaurant - Camden

The food was very good and the service was excellent! I would definitely come back. great seafood, the mush were delicious.

My family and I enjoyed lunch in the open on the harbour front. eating was very good and the setting was even better!

Four of us went to lunch. we sat on the deck with a view of a beautiful harbour. the ambiente was wonderful. we had a very pleasant waitress who was very efficient and friendly. two of us had the darkened squid tacos that were reported delicious, beautifully dressed and cooked perfectly by fish. one had a Greek salate, which was enjoyed and was also fresh and crisp. I had a bowl, and I mean a bowl, the biggest bowl I've ever seen from incredible lobster stone, rich, wonderful creamy broth with a very good amount of lobster, perhaps the best I've ever had. but we all agreed that the wobbles were the bombs, absolutely brilliant.

No visit to maine would be complete without enjoying some local seafood, and the waterfront restaurant had many options on the menu. we started with some oysters on the half-shell, followed by the damped mosquitoes, zeasarsalat (complete with chopped sardels), and the darkened sellfish tacos everything was delicious!

Waterfront was enjoyable, but it could have been much better. When we arrived we learned that the covered awning was not up and there was no outdoor service available, which was disappointing since that feature is prominent in photos of the restaurant. The hostess indicated we would have to wait at least 30 minutes for a table. We sat outside by the water waiting and, when one of us returned to the hostess just 5 minutes later, a table was somehow ready for us. Not sure how the hostess could be so far off in estimating wait time. Restaurant interior is nicely decorated and tables are well spaced, allowing for an enjoyable experience. Waitress was not the best she was marginally helpful in dealing with a food allergy issue, and then she completely forgot our appetizer order. She did not charge us for the appetizer, but it was a surprise when our entrees arrived and we'd never received the appetizer. Prices are reasonably, although portions are modest. Food was enjoyable though. Net is that restaurant was good, but it could have been much better.
