Avaliação da contribuiçãoWe visited today for drinks and snacks. We are very glad we did. The service was excellent from start to finish. The hostess was welcoming and our server Cat was attentive but not pushy. We ate the lettuce wraps (delicious), the nachos (plenty of topping), dry ribs ( crispy and flavourful) and the trio of desserts (yum). We actually meant it to be a snack but the portions were so generous that we did not need dinner afterwards. The washrooms were spotless. The menu has choice for vegetarians and they have a great policy on free range eggs and chickens, and fish sourcing.
The restaurant is in a shopping area and faces the water. They have indoor and out door seating. We ate outside. Service was very good throughout the meal. I had the shrimp linguine that came with 1/2 a baby lobster tail in a "rustic tomato sauce" which was some herbs and chopped up tomatoes and seasoning. It was very good. It came with a bread slice that was also very good. One of us had the beef vindaloo with jasmine rice and really enjoyed it. The young one had a pizza from the children't menu which was a generous size and for dessert had the volcano ice cream (vanilla ice cream in a dish that steamed)-he thought it was cool. Two shared the chocolate cake that was delicious. All in all a very good meal with good service.
They did a great job of accommodating a group of 20 for dinner on a Saturday night without reservations. Well Done!
Restaurant is situated right on Discovery Passage with lovely walks along the waterfront. Dinner was exquisite. Moxies never disappoints, but this location took it to the next level.
After a long day's travel we came upon Moxie's. Immediate seating was available so we went in. Ordering hamburgers we found out that local food regulations require all ground meat to be well done. Oh well, we conformed. Ordering iced tea we found out that all are sweetened. Beers were ordered. Service was good and the hamburgers were good too. The ambiance was great and food was worth it. A quick stop on our way to our fishing destination!
