The Clubhouse At Claremont Cricket Club

I was honestly not even aware that the cricket club was open to the public, but thanks to a generous voucher we were able to come enjoy a nice lunch here. Eagerly greeted by a waiter when approaching the entrance and seated speedily, service was of good standard and continued to be throughout. Our waiter informed us of the black board specials, to which my boyfriend then decided on the ribs. I had the Cajun chicken burger which was a tad dry and could have had a little more sauce, but the pepperdews were a pleasant addition. I ended off with a frangelica don pedro that was perfect on the hot day. Now we know where to grab an affordable meal while watching a rugby match.

Had my daughter's 2nd birthday party here in December 2016 for 80 people. The service was fantastic! The manager as well as her staff could not have been more accommodating. I must say the food wasnt that great though with alot of inconsistencies. We had their house burgers with chips. Some burger patties were tiny while others almost as big as the bun. Great spot for kids, a cricket match and a beer!

The Club House at Claremont Cricket Club (actually located in Constantia) is bustling with life and personality. Filled with sports-watchers, the bar looks like the place to be. Enjoy a beer while watching the cricketers and relax in the sun, with a beautiful view. There is something on the menu for everyone and it was difficult to choose, but I went for the salt and pepper calamari with a side salad. The portions were huge, but I managed to scrape my plate clean. Every dish that passed our table looked like a winner! This is a great place to go with friends to watch sport, or with kids and family as there is a nice field for playing.

Went to the clubhouse the other day after hearing about it from friends. I took my youngsters and immediately saw the attraction as there is loads of space for the kids to run around and play and also a jumping castle as well!! Inside looked neat, airy and light with a fireplace seperating the restaurant from the bar area.The service I have to say was the best I have experienced for a long time. The staff were attentive and above all happy, not easy considering the amount of people and kids moving tables and also sitting on the grass.I sat at outside in order to keep an eye on the kids and enjoy the view. Drinks came quickly and I ordered food off the kids menu which looked and tasted a lot better than what they get at home! Prices were very reasonable and I could have sat for ages in the afternoon sun enjoying the atmosphere. Sadly, didn't get to eat myself but the fare on other tables looked great. Will definitely be back soon.
