Avaliação da contribuiçãoI am not a fan of Melissa’s food. It’s over priced, under seasoned and portions are tiny (unless you’re dishing from the lunchtime harvest table). <br/ <br/ But their cakes are beyond amazing! And their coffee is superb. So every once in a while I make Melissa’s my Sunday afternoon tea stop. <br/ <br/ Their carrot cake is gorgeous! Laden with nuts, topped with cream cheese icing and is just pure decadence! Yum!<br/ <br/ (This scoring is not for their food, but their cakes)
One of the better store locations in Cape Town. Their coffee red cappuccinos are always a good idea- as are their cakes and sweet treats if that's your thang (they have delicious gluten free options, too, for all my fellow glutards out there). <br/ <br/ If you're a chocolate person, their hot choc is an absolute must. The only issue with Melissa's is that their service is a bit slow, so as long as you have some time, you're good to go! You will also probably end up leaving with a nifty little something from their store- I always do. Jenny Sarah Coulson
I pop in here sometimes because I live close by! The smoothies are delicious and my favorite cake has to be the black red velvet one! Their teas and coffees are good! I haven't had any of the buffet, as I feel it is quite over priced! The service is really slow, I never know if I should ask for the bill or pay at the till, or if I order at the counter or through a waitress! There produce on sale always looks amazing, but also really pricey!
I always enjoy the food (especially the breakfast) at Melissa's. The chicken pie is very good. And I love that you can order Melissa's from OrderIn. Perfect for a lazy weekend morning when you are craving a delicious breakfast in the comfort of your own home. Scrambled eggs and bacon on a croissant is my favourite!
Super yummy Mediterranean style food, with a proper view of the mountain. Very quaint. Not fastest service, but overall a good shop. The cheesecake is amazing!!
