Avaliação da contribuiçãoWhat a great spot! Wonderful ambience, perfect food and the friendliest, most attentive of servers. The menu was perfect for our little group we like to share plates so we had one plate of almost everything on the menu!! The crispy eggplant was to die for as was the black onyx rump. The cheeseboard was most generous with a sublime selection of the finest cheeses the honeycomb was out of this world and I don't like honey! The only down side is the toilet is downstairs and outside very cold for a Canberra Winter!!
Parlour was the venue for 26 people on Friday night. Ben and Cameron looked after everything that was requested, great service. Croquettes,Calamari,Chicken sliders, sweet potato tarts and beautiful prawns all tasted lovely. Would recommend Parlour for any occasion.
I haven't been to Parlour for many years, and don't think I'll be back in a hurry. The menu looks interesting but the reality is very different to the enticing descriptions. Food is surprisingly bland and under seasoned. Some of the dishes are a bit amateurish e.g. ceviche which constitutes big chunks of surprisingly tough snapper rather than the thin slices of tender fish with interesting side dressings that other restaurants serve. Spatchcock was pink and **** in the middle...bit of a no no with poultry. If the chef is going to put their name on the menu, they might want to makes sure the dishes justify that touch. Also, service was a bit bizarre. Very ad hoc, with staff preferring to stand around and chat to each other rather than service the small number of customers who are paying their wages...
Brought a group of 30 people to dinner last night and was very disappointed. Alternate plates with steaks arriving 15 minutes before fish. Steaks stone cold before fish was served. Put on a drinks tab and asked for manager to alert me when it hit $1000. When I settled the tab it was at $1390. I had to ask the manager to get his act together twice. Young staff which is not a problem but they were given no direction. Would not go back and would not recommend
Arrived with special guests for a pre booked luncheon to find the restaurant closed. Hunted a staff member down who said there was trouble with the kitchen mind letting your booked customers know? I had not been contacted by anyone at Parlour to let me know which was extremely embarrassing for me and my guests.
