Avaliação da contribuiçãoJust FYI The Wednesday wing special only offers dining in but will charge full price for to go. Wish the place could list it on the website for more clarification. This is the 2nd time today I got incorrect information from the business as a first time visitor, really confused me…
Disclosure: this review is written by a former Drake Staff member. Are you hungover? Of course you are. In that case definitely choose the Drake on a Saturday or Sunday for brunch. Opening at 11, you can get a Drakewich for 10 bucks and a caesar for 4. Making it the most affordable meal anywhere in Canmore including McDonalds. If you had 6 friends with you, maybe you could assemble a breakfast in your hotel room for the same price per head, but I doubt it. If you didn't wash off your entry stamp from the live band the night before you get 15% off your bill.I was served by Christine who is legendary in Canmore as perhaps the most friendly and effective server in town. I don't know anyone currently working hospitality in the Bow who has been at the same venue longer than her and I always look forward to seeing her when I come to town. The food was delivered hot and quickly and I never had to wait for a refill. She's at the top of her game.Ed, the head chef, prepared my sandwich and it was delicious down the lettuce (which was crisp). At 10 bucks a hit he assembles the Drakewich like it's high tea at the Chateau. Clearly the man loves what he does and that comes through in his meals.I could go on, but I'm gonna go back to staring at the mountains while I sip my Caesar. Thanks Drake Team! I'll be back soon (tonight for live music, probably).Parking: Abundant parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Front door access from the parking lot with a gradually sloping ramp.
Everything was fine until they mysteriously change their bar to “cash bar only” at 10pm. Was paying via credit card all night and all of a sudden they say they can’t take payment and to use their high fee ATM machine so they can take “cash” only. Never heard of a bar doing that. CRA should make a visit to this place and take a peak at their bar receipts (or lack there of). This is the 21st century, people pay with plastic debit cards.
Happy hour and wings deal is amazing. My kinda pub, slightly dingey but good vibe with friendly folk. Patio is amazing and modern.
The food was amazing, but the service was a bit slow considering they were almost empty. The server had her back turned on the restaurant facing the bar talking with coworkers most of the time we were there.Wheelchair accessibility: One handicapped stall with a ramp going from it around a patio and into an entrance.
