We stayed in St. Roch, Quebec this summer and had to check out the neighbourhood cheese shop. Fromagerie des Grondines is great! In addition to selling cheese and other goodies, inside the cheese shop is a counter that makes and sells hot food! We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with mushrooms, a baguette sandwich, a large poutine and everything was delicious. The cheese was flavourful. The baguette was perfectly crisp and chewy. The poutine was delightful with lots of cheese curds, sweet corn and veggie gravy. I picked up a bottle of Raw Quebec Honey for my mom and she absolutely loved the deep flavour. I also bought a bag of D'Antan Maple Potato Donuts for myself and the donuts were epic so soft, great maple flavour yet not too sweet.

A fantastic meat and cheese shop connected to a local farm, a place where local restaurants even come to get their meats and cheeses. Do yourself a favor and stop here to get the best grilled cheese sandwich of your life and other interesting local products.

Awesome little cafe serving local cheese and meats in sandwiches and poutines. Had the Le Racle (ham and cheese? and the le Cochon along with the vege poutine. Was very satisfying, fresh and would definitely recommend anyone visiting QCity esp being outside the old city is safe from overpriced items and tourist traffic. Nice spot for a quite meal in the city.
