String Of Horses Restaurant And Bar

My partner and I have visited String of Horses for the third time and once again, we cannot fault it. We always stop in for food and drinks when visiting the nearby huts, just a short walk away. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The pub is incredibly cozy and warm, to the point where you never want to leave. The food is absolutely amazing, deserving of 5 stars. The chef is truly talented and his creations make your mouth water as soon as they are placed in front of you. We hope to visit again next year.

This charming and welcoming inn was just what we were looking for on our journey back from Scotland. It was a busy Friday night with both locals and overnight guests, but everything was handled seamlessly. The dining room had an impressive specials board featuring dishes like hare and goose, and we were impressed with the fresh and passionately prepared food. The service was excellent, and the pub had a great atmosphere. Our room was comfortable, and we went to bed feeling very satisfied. Overall, it was a fantastic place to stop and a unique alternative to the typical hotel chains in Carlisle.

The menu at this restaurant is outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the monkfish and lamb dishes, which were stunning. The duck for our main course was divine, beautifully cooked with a delicious jus. The atmosphere was lovely, with funky decor and perfect bedrooms. Colin, well done on creating a lovely dining experience.

Second time myself and the hubby have visited string of horses and again we were not disappointment Everyone is friendly welcoming and chatty The food again was mouth watering hats off to the chef we had a starter and main both were simply delicious We ended up walking it off back to the Shepard’s hut that we were staying in as we were absolutely stuffed Also a huge THANK YOU to the young blonde barmaid she is always a delight to speak to such a lovely young women When we book another break away we will definitely be popping in for a third time Thank you

This was one of the best dinners I've had whilst on our UK tour, it was mouth watering. Not only is the Chef brilliant at what he does he's a really nice bloke to. We will be back. Cheers.
