Avaliação da contribuiçãoI visited on a chilly Saturday night and found the restaurant bustling with customers. It’s clear that they do a significant takeout and delivery business, and I can see why. They offer everything you’d expect from a Thai restaurant, including a delicious Pad Thai, spring rolls, and Thai iced tea. I definitely plan to bring my family and friends here for a great meal at a reasonable price. The dessert was somewhat basic, but it was visually appealing! I usually don't take pictures in restrooms, but this one is cool because it's actually built inside a train car. How neat is that? Plus, the restaurant received a perfect sanitation score of 100, which is reassuring. They also have a great location with plenty of parking. If you're coming with a large group, it's best to arrive early, as there may be a wait. The Thai tea here is excellent as well. If you find yourself in Chapel Hill, don’t miss the chance to visit Thai Station. You’ll be glad you did!
We were headed to a UNC Women's Soccer game and needed a nearby place to eat. After seeing the positive reviews for The Station and realizing it had been a while since we had Thai food, especially given the lack of good Thai restaurants in the area, we decided to give it a shot. We arrived early and enjoyed the pleasant evening by dining outside on the deck located between the two rail cars that form the back of the restaurant. The beverage selection was impressive. We tried the green papaya salad, which was delicious, and our entrees were also satisfying. Overall, it was a solid meal, though it doesn't quite reach the high-end category of restaurants. We definitely plan to return because we had a really enjoyable dining experience here.
This restaurant features a stunning interior, whether you choose to dine in the unique train car section or elsewhere. I ordered the Massaman Curry with beef, and it was incredible! The flavors were a delightful blend of sweetness and savory notes, with just a hint of spice. The presentation was beautiful, and the portion size was more than adequate, making for a truly satisfying dinner. One minor note: if you're someone who enjoys very spicy food, you might need to request a heat level spicier than their "Thai spicy," as the dish I received at that level was pleasantly spiced but not as intense as I would have liked. Our server efficiently managed a large group, and the timing of the dishes was perfect!
First time here and love this place! Great atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food. Good size portions and reasonably priced too imo. Plenty of seating options, including a beautiful outdoor dining court with a gorgeous tree in the middle. Great place for a date night or family celebration. Even the menus were beautifully designed and matched staff aprons. Wonderful fancy diningware as well. Drove from Raleigh and will definitely come back again
Very cute, themed location inside two rail cars but unfortunately won?t be returning. Thai is usually a safe option but I always check ahead of time so we called to check on the curries and if there was a gluten free soy sauce that could be used to make the fried rices gluten free. Was told all could be made gluten free but the Tom yam. When we arrived we double checked with the server before ordering. I was suspicious, they were wrong about it being gluten free after trying it as it tasted slightly different than I was used to but it was also a different fried rice than I?ve had in the past, but trusted that with the double check it should be safe, then when we received the bill and it had no notes of allergens I was almost certain, then my body confirmed it a little after. The food was also sub par, it wasn?t bad, but it also wasn?t great and lacked flavor. Also, small portions for the prices, and skimpy on the protein (like 3-4 bites a dish).
