Rifugio Shambala - Casargo

Service friendly, price OK, food was all good but the porcini lacked some flavour and the amount of polenta was a bit small for such a location. Cervo was tasty and mixed anti pasto good. Sfusso Nebbiolo was Ok but not really convinced it was Nebbiolo.

Regional and local food preparation and taste is excellent. Service is well above expectation; kind people and clean rooms. Location is spectacular. When weather allow having lunch on the terrace is awesome. Cost to quality is good. Memories of epic ascensions to 8000m mountains are live story telling of the owner.

With a group of paragliders, we enjoyed a great hospitality, a tasty meal and comfortable rooms in a cosy Refúgio in a great mountain surrounding, just 5min from the take off. A great place to be, for sure I will come again!

Pranzo di Pasqua in una posizione immersa nella natura. Tutto delizioso, dagli antipasti ai dolci. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Personale molto gentile e cordiale. Complimenti!

O M G We were driving up the mountain looking for a place to sleep.....and all of a sudden the Rifugio Shambala appere after a curve.....Lella, Flavio, Alessandro e Lisa receved us. The room is HUGE with a Majestic view over the Grigne and the Lake down in the valley below.....super clean ..high standards........ Flavio is also a climber, several Super Mountain expeditions at his belt and still going for it....supporting Tibet with a cute little market with incences and gudgetss... money that they personally send back to the monks....... Beautiful people, wonderful place and incredible food.......cooked by Mum and Dad..... Great family atmosphere , well done.....till the next time....
