In the warm months sitting outside under the vines looking across the valley at the medieval village is a divine experience. The food is simple, tasty and very local. You really need a car to get there and if going for lunch on the weekend you need to book.I love the atmosphere so much I featured this establishment in my first novel. Highly reccomend.
Recently had a celebratory dinner at the Trattoria Terme and understand the consistently positive reviews. Excellent selection of dishes from the daily menu including a few that were not even on the chalk board! Had the tortelli with funghi porcini as the primo piatto and the oven roasted young lamb for the second course. Both were outstanding. Even the chocolate cake with ice cream at the end was exceptional. The restaurant also has as extensive and impressive wine list, as well as more than passable vini della casa. Incredibly, the house wines were very reasonably priced, reflective of a true wine drinking culture. Try and find that in France where restaurants will always push ridiculously marked up bottles without offering the option of having wine at a reasonable price! Perhaps the only criticism I might offer is that the service between courses was a bit too speedy. However, would return in a heart beat if given the chance.
Great Italian regional food served by really nice people. Between us we had pasta dishes, game dishes, shared starters and a bottle of really good local wine. Four people well-satisfied for €150. Highly recommended all round.
En omvej værd! Vi fik det lækreste lam, som blev skåret mens vi så på, med spinat til. Vi var en gruppe kursister, det spiste der en aften. Sød betjening, god mad og vin(husets) Og frisk dessert, som var en frugtsalat med is.
Ottimo ristorante a Pigna con eccellente rapporto prezzo prestazione. Abbiamo cenato con ravioli ai funghi porcini e funghi porcini impanati e fritti f direi entrambi eccellenti. Carta dei vini molto ricca con un buon assortimento di Rossese. Consiglio il Rossese superiore 2019 della foto perché veramente ottimo con i porcini così come anche con altri secondi importanti. Ambiente molto caratteristico sotto una pergola molto fresca. Anche nelle sere di estate per i più sensibili consigliato un maglioncino !
