Avaliação da contribuiçãoMy group, consisting of two vegans and two omnivores, visited this restaurant. There were three starter options and four main courses on the menu. Although there were no dessert options, the melon starter could double as a sweet treat. The food was delicious, the service was efficient and the staff were well-informed about vegan choices. We will certainly return in the future.
We went to the restaurant as a large family of 14 on a busy Saturday night and sat in the new winter garden. It was the only place that could cater to the 4 vegans in our group (myself included). We all had a delicious cloth and potato soup with vegan butter, which was freshly made and very filling. Two of us ordered the bean tagine for our main course, which was loaded with butternut squash, mixed beans, and tomatoes but lacked a strong Moroccan flavor. It was still fresh and flavorful. The other two ordered the mushroom tempura, which came in a small dish, was a bit oily, and seemed overpriced. The rest of our group enjoyed their meat dishes, such as burgers, mussels, and fish and chips. Overall, we were all satisfied with our meals. If you find yourself in the area, it's worth a visit, but I wouldn't make a special trip for it.
The Masonic Arms in Gatehouse of Fleet is a charming and inviting destination that offers a warm retreat for visitors. The cozy atmosphere, delicious food, diverse drink selection, and added entertainment options make it a standout destination. Whether you're a local looking for a welcoming pub or a traveler seeking a delightful retreat, The Masonic Arms is a must-visit.
My family of 14 went to this restaurant on a busy Saturday night and were seated in the new conservatory. It was the only place in the area that had options for the 4 vegans in our group, one of them being me. We all enjoyed the leek and potato soup made with vegan butter, which was rich and served in a generous portion. Two of us ordered the bean tagine, which was filled with butternut squash and mixed beans. Although it was heavy on tomatoes and lacked Moroccan flavors, it was fresh and tasty. The other two had the mushroom stir fry, which was served in a small dish, a bit pricey for the portion size and a little oily. The rest of the group opted for meat dishes such as burgers, scallops, and fish n chips, and everyone was satisfied. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, but it may not be worth making a special trip for.
I did not stay at the hotel so I cannot provide a review on the rooms. However, I can say that the food was excellent and the service was great. The hotel is located in a charming rural village with convenient parking. Overall, the rooms received a 3 out of 5, the service a 5 out of 5, and the location a 5 out of 5. One of the highlights of the hotel is the picturesque view.
