New Dragon - Castlebar legal

We needed a quick, inexpensive meal for a family of 5 and we were recommend to go here by a local, where we sat in to eat. The welcome and service was good, the menu was as expected and the food was well cooked and tasty. The takeaway orders were flying out too and it was reasonably priced.

While passing through Castlebar, one of our teenagers was craving Chinese food. The restaurant's main customer base seems to be takeout orders, but diners must enter the restaurant to wait, turning them into observers of the dining area. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, and the staff took good care of us despite being busy with the takeout orders. Overall, we would return for takeout but not dine in due to the lack of ambiance.

Can only compliment this place, great food, good staff and cheep. Always good delivery time! We usually get chicken dry hot and spicy, chicken and black bean or chicken curry. Always very nice. Highly recommend new dragon!

The New Dragon is a lovely friendly restaurant in the heart of Castlebar. I regularly have a takeaway meal from here. The food is excellent, tasty and good value. The staff are very friendly and gracious.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant and I would highly recommend it. The food was delicious.
