Went there just to get out of the house on Saturday night. First mistake was going there. Too many steps just to get in. And I was sober. Imagine after a few cocktails. But I don 't drink a lot, so not really a problem for me. Because I 've never had a DUI, and I don 't want one now. And with the new law going into affect, its even scarier. The place is like a big empty factory. No ambiance or attraction at all. Thank God I didn 't have to use the bathroom. I can just imagine. So I sat down and ordered a cocktail. The bartenders were prompt and efficient. The music was really bad. All they played was that loud annoying gansta ' ****. Then it started to get crowded. I 'm not a big crowd person. And when I was half way through with my second drink after putting up with the horrible music for almost two hours, a big smelly sasquatch of an employee came over and said I gotta ' take your chair, its gettin ' crowded Thankfully I was almost finished. But that was the final straw. I couldn 't leave fast enough. I 've been going to bars for 50 years, and that was a first. Crude and rude. The place really sucks, don 't go there. So I left and went to Mike 's Tavern right down the street. They had a great live band and a much friendlier crowd. Music that you could dance to. Should have went there first. And a few pool tables. I won 't ever go to toadstoolz place again. Worst bar in the west !
I just drank a couple of beers, the bar tender sassie was just so nice and friendly. I felt back in my hometown in fl. after other reviews I must say. I'm glad I visited and plan to return while I'm in the city in the next days.
Great company. good bartender and peaceful place to drink.
It's tough to want to complain about one of the two bars in town, but with service like it was last night I will not be going back. First off it was a Friday night, Cinco De Mayo, and it wasn't even that busy, but the two bartenders couldn't seem to keep up with the drink orders. Me and my buddy sat there for 15 minutes while everyone else around us got there drinks, even people who walked up after us. At some point their cook just disappeared and the host had to jump in and help, so we had three different bartenders at one time. Then, those three ladies each charged me different prices throughout the night for the same drink, a glass of beer. Very questionable and untrustworthy when prices vary like that. Lastly there was a beer pong tournament that was completely disorganized, and they had the people hosting the event and employees playing as well. Seems odd and unfair to have people who set it up also partake in the event. Not a huge complaint but definitetly added on to the other frustrations. Plus who uses plastic tip darts for a cork dart board honestly? Overall, I'd much rather just drink at home with friends then have to put up with a place like this. Maybe you Utah natives don't know how bars are supposed to be run, but I can guarantee you it's not the way they do it at Toadz.
