La Cantina Grill - Cedar Rapids

We were there for a surprise party, so some of us. Waitresses did a great job and food was great.

We went to dinner 10/10/2022. Although the food was good up to the chips and salsa, we will not go again because it sat so dark in a stand that we could not see the food on the plate. I used the flashlight on my phone to see better. We were told by the staff that they were not allowed to set up the lights. That's ridiculous.

Great terrace, service is met or miss, but we love the happy hour and table side guacamole. I wish they would put Birria on the menu, so good!

The salsa is delicious and the drinks are strong, what you need to know more? I'm sorry I didn't get the name of our blessing, she was so friendly, knowledgeable and attentive only the best. The only strange thing was the two for the price of a Margarita special, which we could not split between our group, so we all had to order the special. Don't look good. Everything else was excellent.

Food was good I?ll give them that. But the experience was not great. They were fairly busy so our party of 2 was seated in a back room that?s typically used for parties which was not the ideal atmosphere but it was fine. But we ordered jumbo margaritas and they were served in clear solo cups. I can?t imagine that the portion size is the same in a solo cup that it would?ve been in a traditional margarita glass so that was a big bummer.
