A Chinatown for Chinese stuffs. Explore the places for things which you might not find anywhere else. Love the food at the 2nd level. You will be spoil for choices. Nearby, there is the market Street and the Buddha relic Temple. There is also an indian Temple nearby. Maxwell food centre is also within walking distance.
Old heritage site where today, old folks would hang out and spend their time at. It's a large non air-conditioned complex, with some shops, and mostly people come here for the hawker centre upstairs. Many good heritage food stalls that have been here for a really long time. Popiah, Cantonese stir fry, satay, rojak, desserts... You name it, you'll probably be able to find something nice here.
Busy and crowded market with small shops and stall selling mostly Chinese merchandise. I went here to buy some pu-erh tea and Tiger balm for sending to overseas friends.
I purchased their 4-in-1 kueh set which included kueh kosui, steamed tapioca cake, sweet potato ondeh-ondeh, and yam ondeh-ondeh. All of them were delicious and tasty.
