Straw Hat Pizza - Cerritos

Me and my friends were excited to come eat here but were overwhelmed with the overpriced pizza, 35+ minute wait for just one large one topping pizza and bad tempered staff :

This Straw Hat Pizza has the best pizza. They have so much cheese, flavor and we appreciate the staff who was very friendly. They made my Moms birthday very special the other day. We have been coming here for years. Highly Recommended!

When my boyfriend, whom I had highly praised this restaurant to, requested water and wasn’t familiar with the setup, he was met with a dismissive attitude from Aaron. Additionally, when I asked Aaron for more ranch after he delivered our pizza, his manner of speaking and his passive-aggressive behavior when I asked for the napkin box was quite off-putting. This was surprising, as it didn’t reflect the level of service one would expect in the hospitality industry. Having worked in serving and bartending for several years myself, I know that personal issues should be checked at the door. Unfortunately, this didn’t seem to be the case here. On the upside, the pizza was fantastic; we had the California chicken bacon ranch pizza, which I loved. However, because of the service experience, I won’t be returning, despite my fond memories. As for kid-friendliness, the place does have games for children and a welcoming atmosphere for families, while also catering to adults with alcoholic drink options.
