Avaliação da contribuiçãoThis establishment has a wonderful atmosphere, friendly service, and a family feel to it. The service is top notch and well timed to keep the dining experience moving along without the rushed feeling. This helped maintain a relaxed enjoyable dining experience. The offered items were cooked to perfection and beautifully plated. With the wide variety of dishes on the menu it is definitely a must go to place while visiting Charleston. I will be returning again and again.
This is a great tapas spot with fast and friendly service, delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. They have a pretty extensive menu that will satisfy all people in your group. However the space is limited and tables are small. I wouldn't recommend it for a large group of people. Also enjoyed their music selection. I think this is a great date spot.
Malagon is a cute little restaurant that deserves your attention. It?s a nice place to enjoy some good wine and tapas! They make their own sourdough bread, which is fantastic and, in my opinion, goes well with such sections of the menu as ?charcuteria y queso? or ?carne?. We also tried the seafood paella. It has a lot flavor and can be characterized as an authentic Spanish paella. Absolutely loved it! As for dessert we ordered churros and they were sooooo good. Came outfresh and hot, just perfect.
A must visit. I came here on my culinary trip where I visit different cities and basically indulge in the local cuisine.Obviously after dining mostly Southern and steakhouses I had to break it up with Spanish food for two reasons. 1. I needed something else to eat but more importantly is… 2. I am latin from Miami and I have traveled and lived in Spain so I was curious on the quality and interpretation along with the presentation of this menu in Charleston. When I walked in I felt right at home. I loved that they kept the integrity of traditional Spanish cuisine and made the menu simple. I am happy they didn’t do fusion. (Even though a Cochinillo or Pork Belly Chunks over grits would be amazing.)I also had a great server that was French and spoke Spanish which for me is a plus because menus as such need authenticity with culture behind it serving it.Love it. A must visit.
One of my favorite restaurants in Charleston.Very authentic Spanish food, knowledgeable staff and great service. We had a lot of food when we went and everything was good! Our most favorite dishes were: boquerones (although they only give you 3), carrilleras, cod croquetas, basque cheesecake and pan con chocolate. Their bread is amazing and they have a nice wine list too! Our waitress was very good, knowledgeable and friendly.A few things I would change would be a bit less olive oil in the pan con chocolate, and make the pulpo a bit more tender (the thicker parts were a bit chewy). Other than that, it was great. We'll definitely go back when we visit Charleston again!
