Poogan's Smokehouse - Charleston

Ordered pulled pork sandwich and half rack of ribs. Everything was cold. Ribs were dry and rub was too salty. Didn’t even eat half.

Great food. The BBQ was on point for the price. The pulled pork was probably the best meat they had to offer

Unfortunately, I got very sick after eating here late on a Friday night a couple of weeks ago and the dining experience wasn't worth what I went through. Service was subpar, the food looked like it was scooped up from a cafeteria serving line. I wasn't expecting the best coming late in the evening, but I would have had more respect for them if they had just told us they were sold out over what we ended up getting served. No thanks to y'all for the 4-7 days of intense stomach pain and vomiting.

This place left me speechless, the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, etc., super tender, an incomparable flavor, you really feel the smoke on your palate, the portions are super large, we ordered one sandwich per person, but it is too much, they should share and then Let's see if they order anything else... the potatoes were gone, these were improvised... ahh and the beer, very good too..

I had the brisket sandwich and it literally messed my entire day up. I couldn’t drive, I couldn’t answer important questions, I couldn’t even find my way home. The next time I have something that delicious it better come with a cot. It’s been 4 days and I still don’t know where home is. I LOVE THIS PLACE. If I can ever find it again
