Great Lakes Whitefish Chips

Lots of space to sit (out doors, indoors bar area, indoors dining area, Variety of food choices. Knowledgable and helpful waitress' Wish i had tried olive burger. Did have normal burger it was abive average. Visiting Charlevoix for a wedding at the castle.

Dinner last night was broiled walleye and a baked potato COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER !

Good food and a cute spot, walkable from the ferry. We had the fish and chips and according to my French fry loving daughter, more than adequate French fries.

My sister and I stopped to eat here for a quick bite, we weren't very hungry so we decided to just split a fish sandwich. The waitress seemed a bit judgmental on us wanting to split a sandwich. Once she realized we were only ordering one thing she basically ignored our table the rest of the time, didn't refill our drinks and at the end asked if we also wanted to split the check on the one sandwich. The fish was fine, the service wasn't our favorite. Also the fish sandwich is $13 and the size of your palm so while we weren't that hungry we felt like the price was a bit astronomical for what the dish was

Unfortunately, not really worth the stop. Only great thing was the service; the waitresses all seemed very friendly, and ours regularly checked in on us. I also liked some of the decor, but you could tell it was short-staffed. They have a limited selection menu due to staffing issues as well. We got two appetizers that were both $10 and just kind of subpar. The mac and cheese nuggets seemed like the kind you can buy at the store yourself and then microwave (but the store bought ones are probably better). Other things such as the fries just tasted stale. Nothing truly great but also not outright offensive. They keep the door open, so there was a fly buzzing around our table for the majority of our meal. Wasn't the most appetizing when it kept aiming for our plates. The bathrooms are downstairs and also not well-kept. It's very dark down there accompanied by an odd smell. Would recommend finding somewhere else on the street to eat.
