La Fiesta Grande Mexican - Charlotte

The first time here and will not be the last. Had a little of everything on the menu with two desserts. Excellent service of Adonis!!! My husband is not a fan of Mexican food, but he loves the fact that country music played all the time. And when it gets warmer, there's a large outdoor area.

Used to love this place. Great food with good prices. NOT ANYMORE!! Came in for an early dinner and they have changed their menu. Everything is more expensive (which I can understand) but the food is also smaller portions too. AND they are now charging for extra chips. I ordered the nachos and they weren?t nearly as good as they used to be and the chips were all complete mush from being under the heat too long with the cheese on top. I would have asked for fresh chips but I would have been charged for them! In addition to all this we had poor service and the servers were all busy attending to their own kids who were running around yelling in the restaurant. We will be finding a different Mexican place to eat at from now on. Won?t be back here.

Basic Mexican joint, food is decent, beer is reasonably priced. They give chips and salsa with the table which is nice. They have updated their patio which seems nice. It's nice there. But not amazing. Just limit expectations.

I think the food is good. First visit I had Nachos with a mango water. The Second time time had 8 tacos 2 of each kind. It was all right and I was ok with the inflated price since inflation is just going up. The problem I have was the service was slow even though the place was practically emty the second time I came in. The first time service was more or less on point. The other problem I have is that they charge an 18% service charge and they seem to still want you to tip. I usually tip minimum $5 to 20-25% base on service so if I tipped them like I usually do it would be an 38-43% tip. Why not just raise the menu prices again by 18% to make up the difference that way people don't feel like they're double tipping? The food was good though complaments to the chef. Need to get pricing model correct without compromising quality of food or employee satisfaction.

Didn?t think it was possible to find a restaurant with such poor service in Charlotte. Do not visit unless you have 1hr or more to wait on your food, even if the restaurant is empty. Unfortunately, I didn?t read the reviews first. Believe them. Nestled in a private neighborhood, the locals expressed they only go because they live right there and it?s just convenient to walk to. The food was mediocre and so were the drinks (how can you mess up alcohol?
