Dairy Queen - Châteauguay

Our favourite ice cream shop, everyone is very friendly and a great quality product. Our ice cream cakes are always from here for our birthdays!

There is only one place to eat your ice cream that at dairy queen this iconic place has been open for many decades and people always come back for more on those hot days of summer yes over the years menus have changed but this place is always consistent that's why it has survived so long great ice cream from shakes to sundaes to a half and half vanilla chocolate soft ice cream something for everyone also great ice cream cakes for birthdays can be ordered ! cheers to another 30 years of dairy queen !

I went to the dairy queen of the town of chateauguay Friday evening 20 May at 10pm, as the one to thank farm at 9pm. surprise, I want to order a royal blizzard cheesecake and replace the ice cream with vanilla with chocolate ice cream and I'm told that we can't do it with this blizzard in particular (!?!). So I ask the young girl at the wheel department if it's possible to do it anyway and charge me an extra ($), that I don't mind at all. she politely answers me that it is not possible and she gives me the option to order a regular blizzard with piece of cheese, but that there would be no strawberries inside. Unfortunately, that's not what I want to order. So I'm offered a $5 blizzard when I'm willing to pay $8!! I've been to the dairy queen to thank and lasalle and ordered the same thing without problems and paying an extra. I understand that dairy queen is a franchise and that there may be differences between the branches, but what I think is a bit of a favor is that it was not possible for me to change the kind of ice cream in a ice cream restaurant! I'm sorry, but I don't understand that, and I'd like someone to contact me and tell me more, because tonight I was outraged by an incredible lack of service from dairy queen and very disappointed by this experience. I still want to mention that the young person who served me was very kind and that she was able to propose something else to me and try to counter my dissatisfaction.

I'm not big on Dairy Queen in general, and this one is located by a busy main street and not the most pleasant place to sit outside. But, it's a convenient walkable distance from our house. I'm not the best judge on desserts... Can't finish even the small cone. Husband though just loves their sundays and banana splits, oh and the peanut buster... Kids working there are nice and try hard. Overall not bad... For a Dairy Queen.
