Avaliação da contribuiçãoThe menu at this restaurant offers all the classic pub favorites. They have a great selection of ales and gins. The food is delicious, with generous portions and good value for money. The staff are welcoming and they have a decent-sized carpark. However, the toilets could use some updating and a thorough cleaning.
Not impressed. Not many people in but service very slow. Waited nearly 30 minutes for ice cream which was taken to the wrong table, another 20 minutes for milk that wasn’t brought with the coffee. Had to go and ask and a fresh coffee was made. Gone down hill in my opinion. I could have understood it if the place was full but only another 3 tables in there. Won’t be going again any time soon.
On a short break in the area and walked to this local for a Sunday lunch. Having book the evening before specifically for Sunday lunch was a little disappointed to be told on arrival there was only turkey left. After a short while I went to the bar to order to be informed all the turkey had gone! In the end we plumped for other mains which were very nice but not what we set our hearts on. Then when we were eating our desserts we were somewhat annoyed to see 3 turkey lunch’s being served to some people who had arrived 20 30mins after we ordered
Lovely country pub in scenic area. Great ambience. Very warm welcome from staff on arriving. Sunday lunch was excellent, good mix of properly-cooked vegetables and two choices of meat today. Portions just right. Well worth crossing three fields from bridge 13 on the canal where we moored. Cost was very reasonable too.
Decided to go out for dinner at short notice, luckily the Farmers Arms were able to fit us in and we weren’t disappointed. I had the pie with chips which was a huge plate of food and my hubby had the lamb shank with veg which he said was delicious, he also had Bakewell tart with cream which was also lovely a very generous portion. Cosy surroundings pleasant staff. Would recommend will revisit.
