Avaliação da contribuiçãoNot religious at all but like other reviewers found this true OASIS when looking for refreshment in Chester Just great, lovely staff and clientele and great quality and value coffee and cakes... Interesting selection of books, gifts, cards etc Would use regularly if we lived locally Staff say they may have to relocate soon due to commercial development of the site Surely the Church which is not short of funds can provide an alternative venue for this wonderful place which probably does more for spreading the religious message than many more traditional churches etc...something in the Cathedral Precinct maybe?? Good luck to you all and God bless if it helps)
I visited here yesterday to buy a bible study guide. They have lots of literature in stock and I spent half an hour perusing the shelves. The owner who was very friendly helped me in choosing a few books. We had a lovely conversation, very warm and calming character) . I will definitely be returning and hopefully stay for coffee and cake next time. Online shopping is NO comparison to such a lovely experience. God bless
My wife and I was on a day trip to Chester and needed a coffee as we exited the market. This Café is the perfect place when in need. It is staffed by friendly volunteers and It serves the second best Cappuccino in the world. I said second best just as a precaution but there is no doubt my Ham and Cheese toastie was the best. It would be very difficult to find a café anywhere that is better value for money.
I really enjoy visiting this cafe staff are so friendly and always remember everyone's name. The menu consists of sandwiches toasties and soup all done to a high standard but particularly recommend the soup. Always some one to chat to and an assortment of book's and gifts to buy if you wish.
After discovering this gem on my last visit to Chester, my husband, sister and I went here for a light lunch yesterday. Two of us had a panini which was full of ham and cheese, and my sister had the homemade chicken, lentil and cumin soup. We left full and very happy with our choices. The service is so warm and friendly that later in the afternoon when my sister and I were in need of a cuppa, we went back and had two very large cups of tea served with a biscuit. I was very tempted by the lovely selection of cakes on offer but on this occasion managed to resist . Would recommend this to anyone visiting Chester.
