Went tonight for my birthday dinner as I wanted some good wings. They normally have great wings. We walk in and my wife spots one of today’s specials of fried grouper and sides and she decides that is what she would like. She asked the waitress before she orders her meal if they have malt vinegar and was told “yes we do” as she will only eat fried fish with malt vinegar. I change my mind and order a pasta dish. We have an appetizer and then a side salad and all is well. Then our meals come to the table. She asks and is told that they do not have any malt vinegar. The waitress thought there was some on the top self in the back somewhere but there is none to be found. She is asked if she would like any kind of any vinegar other than malt. She declines. She is asked now if she would like to order anything else now that our food is at the table. I would like to take this time to let everyone know this restaurant is in the parking lot of a Walmart. A Walmart. Like a got everything type a Walmart. I offer to go to Walmart and get malt vinegar. She says no and nibbles at her potato’s and veggies. At this point i am no longer hungry and a bit pissed as this place was my idea for dinner. All of this to say customer service is a dying art. Stepping into the customers shoes is no longer a thought or even an afterthought. I would have paid whatever plus the cost of the malt vinegar to have someone run to the store to save dinner for my wife. I am not sure why this seems to be lost on so many but there is a chicken place that has traffic out to the street six days a week that gets it. Customer service job one.
Place is awesome, Debbie is for ever taking care of my needs. usually come in for pick up odrer). I called her mom's, for the longest time as i thought she owned the place the way the crew look up to her. Kid-friendliness: As a family restaurant, they completely under stand the wild child of the family). Have been patient with us for years
