Avaliação da contribuiçãoI'm here with my kids at 4:30. I am Googled Eis near me, and this was the closest place with good reviews. This gelato has not disappointed! This location is right on a corner. Parking was quite easy on a residential street. I saw a small courtyard. Maybe 4 or 5 tables. They were all full. Going to the store smells amazing! It is a small space inside. There are no tables to sit... the flavors are definitely not your normal chocolate and vanilla. We chose strawberry watermelon, Italian biscuits and painted Vanille Brezel. The strawberry watermelon brought me into the head of a Sherbet. It's very refreshing. The vanilla pretzel had a good balance. I enjoyed the surprising crunch of chocolate and pulp. The vanilla ice cream reminds me of a New York vanilla. The winner of the 3 was the Italian cookie. It was as creamy and tasted like cookie butter. Very light taste, not excessively sweet. There were small cookies in the ice. I liked it so much that I went back for a pint! The only complaint I had was price fixing. For three pots, my sum was $18. I could see if the size justified the price buuut, the sizes are tiny compared to the price. The cookie butter was so good that I decided to grab a pint for my mother. The pint was $10. The mini club was $5. 2 this is not equal to the size of the pint. Compared to the mini club, the pint is definitely the better option. I would recommend if you go, a full pint instead of a scoop. They also have this tip option on their credit card machine. I hate that. Especially when the worker observes as you sign. I'll be back before the summer is over!
The milk-free chocolate sorbet is incredible! I wish I could have tasted all the flavors. I definitely recommend picking up a pint to get home too!????
I have the goat cheese Cashew Karamell and the Expresso chip, my wife got the rice pudding and Mango Hibiscus... All 4 flavors are great.
Black Dog Gelato has two locations in the Ukrainian village and one in Logan Square. They offer a variety of flavors, rotating and seasonal (such as espresso chip, Yuzu Licorice Sorbet, Coconut Almond chip, and even milk free options) also the most picky food will find a taste they like! They also offer a Pint Club membership where you get a pint every month, discounts, promotions and early access to special menus. We came here after we have a meal in the area, the place is small, but clean, and there were only a handful of tables. The staff was very friendly and you can try the flavors in their case until you find one (or more) you want to order. We ordered: Mint cookie filled with oreo cookies and peppermint oil Malted Vanilla Pretzel flavored to ovaltine Gelato covered with milk chocolate Bretzels Mango Hibiscus Sorbet with mangos and hibiscus flower raspberry Cider Sorbet raspberries and apple vinegar Kibana Sorbet with kiwis and bananas The gelato was thick and creamy, and you can get your in a cup or a bowl. Limited parking spaces in the area. delicious Gelato friendly service limited parking available
After hearing so many good things about it, I finally tried the Black Dog Gelato! I visited the store when oddly there were no people, but I can just see this place being filled with friends, lovers, and families enjoying colorful creative flavors of gelato. The staff was so nice and offered me different flavors to try; her recommendations were espresso chip and cantaloupe elderflower sorbet! I had espresso chip with raspberry rose I was one happy customer, to say the least. I tried mint cookie and cotton candy (based on coconut), which I surprisingly liked! Do try this place when you are in the neighborhood or when you are in the mood for good gelato! P.S. There is a great outdoor patio with cute lights too.
