I visited this gallery in early June and found the exhibitions to be very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place. The location is fantastic, the rooms are stunning, the staff is very friendly, and the photos on display are especially beautiful.
The reception team is welcoming and friendly, inviting visitors to explore all current exhibits starting on the 5th floor. The disabled access via a lift is convenient and there are restrooms on most levels. The cafe is located on the ground floor, with outdoor seating available on artistic benches. The exhibition was impressive, particularly the emotional and sensational pictures from the German bank photography prize. The exhibit also contained a variety of LP covers from different musical genres. I applaud the efforts of the researchers and curators, and look forward to seeing the exhibition continue to evolve. It would be interesting to see a focus on modern digital culture and how it influences the direction of photographer/artist work.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Helen Levitt exhibition. Prior to this, I was not familiar with her work, but I was impressed by the way she captured movement in her photographs. I particularly loved her color photos, which I found to be little treasures.
£5 to visit the day - take the lift to the top floor and work her way down. decent caffe and business. they want more space.
