Avaliação da contribuiçãoQuirky staff with a great menu. the sauces are amazing and the poppadums help them soak every last piece. make sure to take hot, as the seasoned is a little subduing on medium.
If it were just my wife and I, we would have left, but we decided to stay and eat because my parents were hungry. During lunch, I asked the waiter about the WiFi and whether it was free. He initially told me it was £1 per minute, which was not a joke, but he eventually gave us the password. The password was handwritten and a bit hard to read. When I asked him to clarify, he became irritated and started a confrontation. Despite this, we finished our meal and left without letting it ruin our day. The food was average, service was mediocre, and the toilets were dirty. I would not recommend this place, especially to my Indian friends. We later found out that the restaurant is owned by people of Asian descent, potentially leading to the rude treatment we received. Regardless of the reason, this place is best avoided due to its mediocre service and arrogant staff. Don't let it ruin your day in London.
A group of 8 friends popped in here on the off chance and we are so glad we did. It was only us in the restaurant but we aren’t sure why because the food was amazing!
Visited the Spice Trader the night before the second UK lockdown as our usual Indian restaurant was closed. We really enjoyed the food at Spice Trader, great portions and really tasty food. Would highly recommend the Prawn Pathia. The Garlic Naan breads are a highlight. Staff are lovely and very attentive. I look forward to visiting again, once lockdown is lifted.
Spice trader is a very decent Indian restaurant in the city not far away from leadenhall market that is popular for business lunches.
