La Cougnentse - Cogne

The immidiate feeling of being a liability to the personell at the pizzeria only worsened thorughout the visit at Brasserie Cougnentse. After a terrible first impression the waiter came to take the order and got annoyed when we couldn’t communicate in any other way than English… after some pointing we ordered two different pizza’s and they both were terribly made! All the topping was laying in the middle and the tomato sause surrounding the topping had a taste of cardboard (in lack of better description). NOTE: nor me or my partner had eaten all day. This should have been an advantage since an «empty belly is the best cook», but PLEASE. BE ADVISED. The pizza here does not deserve to represent Italian pizza.

This spot is not attractive for its setting but serves quite a good set of different Italian dishes as well as good pizzas. We enjoyed the simple setting for two nights. It basically simply counters the hotel restaurant that are plentyful in Cogne

The personnel was very nice and helpful. We didn't know any Italian and the waitress didn't know any English but we managed to make sense of the menu and order our food. Both vegetarian and non veg. The food was a bit bland and not very seasoned but we didn't order from the daily menu so that may be the reason.

If you want to spend a quiet evening in a pizzeria/tractor like the favorite one near home, this is the right place. friendly staff, friendly even if not impeccable, but forgive him, good food and acceptable prices unlike other restaurants on site). recommended recommended
