Silver Caboose Soda Fountain

The price per meal is outrageous for a vegetable plate. First, it is only 3 vegetables in a very small dish and each vegetable cost $4.00. Ridiculous.

The food is good, and the Silver Plate specials are awesome. Be prepared to wait it seems to always be busy.

I stopped by to pick up (frozen) dinner. for tomorrow night-After cooking-Got mushy green beans, more mushroom soup than beans…sweet potatoes are ok because it’s hard to mess them up…/squash with so much breading we couldn’t find the squash-not sure where it was!)chicken dumplings. . 90.00

This was by far and above an amazing experience. The only negative I could say is the wait time was crazy. Which just means that’s how popular this place is and they don’t have a lot of seating options available. They had a lot of elderly clientele and so every time wed get a seat to sit and wait someone else would come in and wed give up our seats so they could sit. But standing you are in everyone’s way. So that was uncomfortable. And some of the carpet and equipment around looked like it’s had a lot of wear and tear so could use some attention given the high amount of traffic this place sees. But the decor, the feel, the food, the staff were all a 5 star experience. We all tried something different and it all was amazing. Our server was so personable and even joked and laughed with us. The only food items we didn’t like were their pies. We all got something different and none of those were good. But everything else was delicious!! I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!! (Also walk around the area if you have time. It’s such a nice town)

I eat here often and the food and service is always Great! It is my first choice for comfort food!
