Avaliação da contribuiçãoExcellent staff and service. Food is good but not exceptional. Worth a visit combined with the shop at Barefoot. Sunday jazz at lunchtime creates a chilled environment.
The food was tasty and very reasonable. Excellent service and very helpful staff. Love the atmosphere.Suerly visiting often.
This place is great for a chilled atmosphere listing to some live music (Sundays) enjoying a drink and meal/snack. It gets busy on a Sunday lunchtime/pm so you might need to wait for a table.
We've visited the Barefoot cafe over many years. Today started off as a usual relaxed lunch with friends and kids. As with kids together, they were quite active, and when asked to stay away from the gallery, we agreed and asked them to do so. However, eventually after two separate requests to ask the children not to go close to consumers as their chatter was disturbing, they asked us to leave. Sighting that there was a gentleman who had said that it was disturbing their meal to have children running around, and they would write negative reviews affecting their business. Safe to say that the way this was handled left a very bitter taste and that our days of visiting the Barefoot cafe will be taking an extended break. If the cafe does not wish to have children or locals it should clearly state so.
Have been here a number of times, at all times of the day and week and the service food etc has usually been consistent offering fairly good value on the whole for average to good food. However its very noticeable how things are changing, some staff are still good at keeping an eye on customers whilst some are just either totally disinterested or poor at service levels and have now a few times given up and not had eaten there. Afraid none of us will not just sit and wait, and wait.... Food, I have noticed the portions are not consistent, sometimes 3 pieces of an item then next order 2 and not always up to scratch. I know prices are going up generally but the prices of food here have really gone up a lot in cases, Quiche Lorraine 3700slr plus tax and service thats almost $12 or £9.50 for a bit of quiche and a tiny salad and Modha and rice 4400slr, $14 or £11 . Over 2000slr from not that long ago. People are really going to think about spending those amounts when out with family and friends, we certainly did. As much as I like the ambience of the cafe, outside with a breeze if you are lucky in the greenery, its a cafe charging restaurant prices. I will still continue to visit if I get served but the food, well we will be thinking twice about ordering at those prices. But sure as long as its on the guide book trail to visit, tourists may still pay the prices.
