Avaliação da contribuiçãoI live in the area and decided to try something different. I was not let down! The food was outstanding. Charit, the staff member, was extremely friendly and attentive. I will definitely return.
We were there on a Sunday for Lunch. The restaurant is easy to locate and the interior is different and classy . Wide choice of Menu and the food was very tasty. Don't miss it if you are visiting Colombo.
We went for dinner and we were not able to see the full beauty of the house with the natural light beaming in. The restaurant is at the beautiful ancestral home of Jeffrey Bawa, just as my cousin had described. It is worth the visit for the appetizers of fish soup, mains of baked crab, pork curry and the abundance of choices of deserts, all reasonable priced. This is an advice for the management. The 4 stars are for the experience with the bar. My hubby ordered a scotch drink which was fully diluted, even though he asked for the water on the side. He was surprised and saddened to get a drink such as this in an authentic restaurant. My hubby is a connoisseur. He mentioned it to our waiter (very pleasing) when he ordered the second one and it was fine. On our way out, we stopped by the bar and did warn the bartender. We also said, we will be giving a review for the restaurant. Unfortunately, none of them cared, especially, the bartender. Hope our visit next time won’t have the same issue!
A catchup with friends on my brief stay in SL, The setting Too dark for my liking. It was too hot and sweaty seated outside in the far end corner (we made prior reservations). The food arrived so late that I had to ask the service 'if I would get my dinner today? ' (It was just 4 girls). Over rated in terms of price ... less quantity...Spaghetti was not upto what I expected and nor was fish and chips and neither was lime and mint juice. Guess my friends wanted to do a high end dinner lol for the label perhaps??!! Lol
This fantastic and trendy café has a wonderful atmosphere. The menu offers delicious, contemporary dishes as well as a selection of Sri Lankan-inspired cocktails. The frozen gin and tonic is especially superb! Additionally, there is a charming Paradise Road shop and art gallery to explore upon entering the café. This establishment is definitely a must-visit when in Colombo!
