There is a wide variety of delicious options to choose from at this restaurant! I recommend trying the mango chicken, the arepas, the Cuban, or any other dish on the menu - you can't go wrong!
What a FUN find! Mom’s in town so we visited the depot had lunch at this diner; WOW! We had different soups sandwiches. All FRESH made to order; the owner was present such a delight! We will be back!
The food and service at this restaurant are excellent, making it a must-stop in Concord (Charlotte), North Carolina.
After spending a few hours antiquing, my wife and I were feeling hungry and were delighted to discover a place to eat at the depot in Gibson Mill. My wife decided to order an Italian combo panini with a side of coleslaw. She enjoyed it immensely, even the coleslaw. It was unlike any coleslaw she had ever tasted before. She mentioned it was the best she ever had. I noticed there was Venezuelan cuisine on the menu and when I saw the Venezuelan flag in the kitchen, I knew I had to try it. I ordered tequeños to share, which are cheese sticks that are fried and served with a delicious dipping sauce. They were fantastic! For my main course, I had arepas with shredded chicken. It was truly remarkable, perhaps the best thing I have ever eaten. The flavors were out of this world. I had read that arepas are the quintessential street food in Venezuela, so now I am on the lookout for food trucks serving Venezuelan cuisine in the Raleigh area. I am already planning my next visit to the depot with Ellie's Diner, with antiquing as a close second priority!
