Avaliação da contribuiçãoHad heard good thingsOnly one person serving and she was run off her feet, hard to get service, not her fault. All out food was bland and dry, no flavour, I had to ask for salt to eat it, never needed table salt with Asian food before
This place has been closed for some years, shame- it was great food! It would be good if it was deleted so people don't expect to find it.
This little place seems to have a loyal following, and with good reason. I have been a fan of Malay, Indonesian, Nonya ( Chinese-Malay) and Padang food ever since i started to learn to speak Indonesian way back in 1978! ....the jewel in the crown of Padang food being the beef rendang....The one at Jackie M was superb.Servings were generous, and I love that the food has not been anglasised to suit the unadventurous. Very good char kway teow. No corkage charged, what's not to love? Take some beer with you, it goes well with this style of food.Didn't get to meet Jackie M, but I checked out her website and she seems to have a great concept, in that you can buy a lot of her curries to reheat later, and you can buy sauces that are an essential part of many of the dishes.. A lot of love goes into this amazing food, and I know I will be back. Check out the blackboard menu for some truly fab dishes.
Maybe it was a bad day, but PLT did not bring its A-game this lunch time.
Decent food, decent pricesWe both had salads, which were good sized with a decent amount of lettuce.
