Mexican Fresh Grill - Corcoran

I stay here in Corcoran at least 1-2 times a month. I don 't mind going out to Tulare or Hanford to go eat dinner after checking into my hotel, however, today I was not in the mood to drive so I tried this place. I was craving enchiladas from this little place that 's local to where I 'm from so I took to Yelp which lead me to the restaurant. When I walked in however and saw their plato prices I went with the taco plate $8.99) because there was no way I was paying $10.99 for enchiladas I had never tried before...call me crazy. The plate came with 3 tacos, rice, and beans. I got lengua, cabeza, and al pastor. Rice and beans were good but lacking salt. The lengua and cabeza were also tender and juicy but lacking either salt or seasoning. The al pastor was really flavorful but it was not tender and there were hard bits in it. It was also missing like that they didn 't offer I got it para llevar/to-go). Salsa had an alright flavor if you aren 't into a lot of heat but again seemed to be lacking salt. I can really see where this place 's food could be even better with more seasoning and salt because I could tell by the way the lengua and cabeza were cooked these are challenging meats to get right) that they know what they are doing in the kitchen...just add more flavor!

We had the caldo de res and tostadas de camarón. Prices were a little high but portions were generous. There's a salad bar and chips and salsa. Clean little place. Service good.

Fajitas were amazing and so was the carne asada. The service was friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend.

Any place that tells you you can have tacos for breakfast, no problem. should have a million stars. best tacos I 've found in the valley. I 'm from Phoenix and travel here on business constantly and always make time to get some tacos here. best I 've had. Cualquier lugar que te diga puedes tomar tacos para el desayuno, no hay problema . Debería haber un millón de estrellas. Los mejores tacos que he encontrado en el valle. Place was good. Was passing through town and decided to try it out. Place was clean and the waitress was super nice and friendly. I asked for something that wasn't on the menu and they were glad to make it for me. Was like eating at home and having some of moms cooking. I even asked them for some queso fresco on the side after my order came and they gave it to me and didn't charge me extra.
