Teteria Marrakech - Córdoba

We found this little restaurant walking along the river. We were tired and hungry so anything would have tasted good, but this place was simple and good. We started with hummus. Unlike hummus in America, which now seems to be spiced with everything under the sun, this was just simple, tasty hummus. What made it better than just good were the wonderful Arabic breads. I really enjoyed the Arabic salad, the falafel, and the wonderful Arabic mint tea. I also had the Passion tea which was quite nice. it is located on the Carrera del Darro.

Located just a few streets away from the Mezquita, this tea salon was a nice place to end our busy day. You can get batidos (milkshakes) here in addition to tea. We had the té pakistani which they make with milk instead of water, so it was a little more expensive, but delicious. We also got a couple of little pastries made of honey and pistachios which were good, but on the expensive side (1.50 for two). Still, they complemented the tea, and I'm glad we tasted them. The space is decorated in the old Arabic style. It had three large rooms with lots of tables and cushioned booths. They also have hookahs set up. A nice spot to visit if you're in the mood to relax, have some tea, and are in the area.

The teteria is situated in the middle of the old town and in the midst of the crowds trying to squeeze buy in the narrow streets on Buen Pastor 10 . The moment you enter you find yourself in a different world. All the noise is gone and there are only the white and blue tiled walls that offer a calm retreat. When we were there everyone was very soft-spoken since somehow it it seems inappropiate to bring in the noise from the streets. The place is full of small marroccan corners, i.e. low sofas put together to form a square. Offers are limited although the list of different kinds of teas is two pages long. We had one cold tea and one hot, the hot served in a marrocan teapot. We also chose two pastries that were excellent. It was all wonderful and my only complaint is that they do not offer any food 'cause then we would have had reason to stay longer.

I don't understand that I just have .me seemed spectacular. Easy... possible the most beautiful bar I've ever been. very good food
