Avaliação da contribuiçãoI normally would not have stopped here if just driving by but SO glad we did. My cousin had been here before. This unassuming little diner has some of the friendliest staff and most delicious food. Basic, simple, but so well done. We had the haddock special .. all you can eat, fried fish with a very light batter, a homemade coke slaw and Tatar sauce that was tangy and complimented the fish well. The sweet potato fries were not originally theirs so not as good as the rest of the food. They have a buffet on Friday and Saturday that we hope to get back to .. with prime rib and so much more. There's also some great looking and sounding breakfast dishes .. all day long .. homemade muffins too. Full bar, good choice of bottled beers and some margarita specials. Yep! Plan to go back!
I wish I could give negative stars... this place is a joke now at the new location! My husband and I went it and got seated right away( mind you it's a Sunday so we expected some wait) waited 10 mins for waitress to come take drink orders not a big deal right after that we ordered our food I mean like in the same interaction. We then waited 60 mins yes one hour for eggs and home fries and pancakes( that turned out to be completely burned) our waitress tried to give us someone else's food twice before this ones at 49 mins In and once at 45 mins after waiting the first 45 mins we decided to go ahead and get bloody Mary's they came and had 0 zero alcohol and the make your own bar that is advertised for Sunday's until 2 was not set up! All in all it was a bad experience for mediocre food I miss the old location with the cool mugs and AWSOME people!
Service was a bit slow. Food was ok. Burger was great. Mozzarella sticks were breaded with something that tasted strange. Nachos were pretty standard. Stuffed mushrooms were ok.
Out for a joy ride on a Monday evening in the vintage MGB and ended up in Cornish. Haven't dined at this place since pre-covid so we stopped in. The service was excellent! Seated right away and ordered within minutes. Cheerful, attentive staff. I got the Bacon Jam Jalapeño burger. it was yummy!!! a nice big burger perfectly cooked to my order of medium slathered with bacon-maple jam and topped with fresh jalapeño and avocado slices. AMAZING!! The house made chips were fresh and crunchy. My friend got the Blues burger with onion rings...also super delish. The only problem Was that the usually great Bloody Mary was WAY too salty. I couldn't drink it. All in all a great place with great food.
I couldn't believe it when they brought it the plate it was piled high and overflowing. I ordered the eggs and Tatar tots. My husband ordered the omelet. Needless to say we both took home boxes. A little bit slow but it was crowded so expected. Tasted great. Now one of our favorite restaurants in Cornish.
