The Cornishman

I can't believe some of the reviews, because in our experience, this pub is friendly, welcoming, and has a great atmosphere, food, and staff. This isn't our first visit to the area and we love it, feeling like part of the community every time we visit. It's easy to integrate and feel welcome whether you're local or not. We enjoyed the themed food evenings, especially the curry night with huge portions and a massive bhaji. The quiz night is also a favorite, even though we always fail miserably. The pie night, which coincides with the quiz, offers homemade pies that are massive and generously filled, with a drink included. Pete, who hosts the quiz, is excellent and includes a raffle and play your cards right for cash prizes. We were lucky enough to win a £50 prize, making up for our poor quiz performance. We have happy memories of this wonderful pub.

Tonight at the cornishman. lamb burger was beautiful and so was the sausage and maische. very recommended

He made the cornishman to our place while we were on travella! great eating, drinking and friendly staff! can not wait to come back x

It simply enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast, would highly recommend. it was very delicious and the portions were huge! can not ask for more than that

For many years after cornishman. new owners are friendly and helpful. the pub and restaurant brighter and more spacious than before. large seat area in free. beautiful place for eating and drinking. a small part. I'm hard to hear and the acoustics is bad. I couldn't join the conversation because table was too loud next to us. but if sat outside very pleasant.
