This food cart seems to epitomize the idea of food appropriation . Their menu offers numerous Levantine (Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian dishes), but they are prepared in a way that has made them unrecognizable to anyone familiar with that region/cuisine (esp. referring to the falafel waffle, baba ghanoush, and belila). I really hope the owner has some connection to the origin of the food they serve, but if they do then I have no idea why they wouldn 't be cooking the food in a more authentic way. Also, the portions of the dips (muhamara and baba ghanoush) are tiny another indication that the food is less than authentic.
I love Kalamata Bistro and their lamb gyro wrap. It is absolutely amazing. Aside the great food, they are able to give everyone a wonderful experience being located at Common Fields and they provide a ton of wonderful entertainment, a family friendly space, and great drinks. We love this place and recommend it to foodies, families and all.
This place is awesome! Extremely laid back, the staff is great, and is always full of entertainment. Perfect for year round trips as they have heaters and butt warmers in the winter and misters in the summer. Would 100% recommend to parties of all ages! Plus, you can bring your puppies!
The food is amazing. The ?Chicken Schwarma is my favorite. It goes nicely with the Muhammara dip. I?m gluten free and their staff is wonderful about substituting with wheat free options. Corvallis is lucky to have this new addition to our community. See you soon CF!!!
