Kakurega: Sushi Tapas Sake - Costa Mesa

It was our first experience with Omakase-style sushi, and we can't compare the quality to any other place. We love sushi, and this restaurant did not disappoint. The service was excellent, and the quality of the fish was exceptional for a wonderful dinner. We will definitely be back.

Juni is fantastic and incredibly creative with sushi. I'm consistently surprised by something new each time I visit. The staff is very friendly as well. I can't wait to try the omakase again!

We almost decided against it because the exterior looked a bit shabby. However, I asked a friendly family who was dining there about their experience. They told me, "It's a hidden gem." So we went in, and we had fantastic service and delicious food! I tried the rainbow roll and the scallop sushi, and both were amazing!

Was very excited to find this hiding place. great food and service. the soft dish crab was amazing and the rolling were some of the best we had for a long time. will definitely be back.

Great hidden place for lunch, when it's easy to grab a table. Sho and Jun acquire great fish, wish the rice was better. Great dive. Good tunes and the dartboard. Favorites... kampachi, aji, amaebi, kohada [marinated], shiro maguro, kinmedai.. taste of trevally and uni can vary time to time.
