Rusty Pelican - Covington

Kind of out of your way, but Rusty's is a nice dependable place to drop in for a quick bite to eat.

Small venue. Hard to get seating. Great food and atmosphere. Fried artichoke hearts were delicious.

My kids and I attempted to eat here. We waited 20 minutes and did get service. It wasn't busy either.

First off, I love the food. The mixed review is for the service. I visited the Covington location on a Sunday. My family and I came in the restaurant and made our way to the front to order. It seemed odd the staff avoided us for about five minutes while we waited. Some one finally approached us as soon as it turned 3 pm to tell us they were closed. — I didn’t realize they closed at 3. I would have appreciated being told as soon as we entered the restaurant or been given the option for take out.

You order at a counter here and they deliver the food to the table. The food served here was top notch and there was a good variety. The staff were helpful and friendly.
