I had an international card that had to have selected an option before I went to the payment. I tried to explain this to the waiter in spanish, but he didn't even care about listening and didn't apologize to slap my hand after him. eating and decorating are beautiful, but would never be for the service. I went there with a group of friends and we were all badly treated since we arrived. After they had waited a lot for a table, they did not explain a police of the restaurants that they did not serve any alcohol without eating and simply did not take over our job. the process to ask food and drinks took more than 15 minutes and the waiter could not even notice everything and another had to help him. the overpriced menu would not be worth in any case, but with such a bad service I recommend you not think twice before you go to this place.
What kind of a person to disappoint a customer. make sure that cashier offers a discount with cash payment, they take too much time until they are desperate. if they pay in cash at the end, they don't give them a discount. completely disappointing and dissatisfied. make sure they give what they offer!
This little place is full of surprises, first that anything, is in the hidden heart of Coyoacan and once you are in you would realize how is to feel welcome in Mexico, with the walls decorated with papel picado, and the service is great too,...but the food! The food is awesome and delicious, I recommend this place a 100% if you want to have a little piece of Mexico with you!
We met a group of 10 friends at this restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner last week. We chose to sit upstairs at the top level (lots of stairs). We had beers, micheladas and appetizers while we waited for everyone to arrive (long time). There...were smokers separated from us by a flimsy plastic, transparent curtain, which did not contain the smoke, and this bothered us. The food was not really bad, but not really special. The location was outstanding because it was right on the historic and calm Plaza Santa Catarina in Coyoacan. I might try it again, but I would sit on the second level, away from the smokers
I stopped at this restaurant for lunch after I went to the Frida Kahlo museum. It was a 15 minute walk and its located next to the Santa Catarina church and park. I had the Chiles Rellenos Viva Coyacan and it was very good. Perfect...place to stop for lunch after exploring Coyachan before continuing the day.
