Avaliação da contribuiçãoGreat Parmas! I find myself frequenting the peninsula club purely for the parmas and the beef burger. The food here is always on point and the staff are lovely. I probably wouldn't recommend PC for a romantic dinner- the atmosphere is probably not the best, but, if it's a great Parma and a mean burger that you're looking for then I would definitely recommend. The pricing is also reasonable
GREAT FOOD.FRIENDLY STAFF. On the 4/11/13 my family and I arrived at The Peninsula Club for lunch for my fathers 94th birthday.Immediately we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. All of them wishing my father a Happy Birthday. The orders for the day were a Fishermans Basket and Parmigianas.Wow! Very quick friendly service, the food was beautiful. You could not put anymore on the Fishermans Basket if you tried!! And the parmas were cooked to perfection with a lovely array of veges. I highly recommend it and loof forward to my next meal there!!!
Outstanding value. Have had three meals here over the last few weeks, and all I can say is that they do the simple things very well, great value, good service, all the right things if you are looking for a simple night out with not to much fuss. Also reading the history on the walls from the old RSL is a bonus.
Great value meals. Nothing posh about the decor, but very friendly and attentive staff. Amazing cheesy garlic bread. $14 for a bottle of sauv blanc that was very acceptable to drink. Seniors meals and daily specials. Member prices if you join for $20 a year well worth it if you live in the area. Menu is typical pub fare plus plenty of specials each day. Calamari was lovely and tender, and other diners on our table really enjoyed roast lamb, grilled chicken with lemon veloute, and curried sausages.
People galore at popular local club. The Peninsula Club is the phoenix arising from the local RSL's ashes. A joint partnership with the Western Bulldogs football team since 2010, it has revived the otherwise ailing returned service personnel club, albeit as a poker machine venue *sigh*. <br/ <br/ Anyone can join for $20 which entitles you to 10% off meals as well as a monthly special like half price meals or a free drink. In December, that was a free 187ml bottle of white or red wine with mains. The venue does good counter meals, with a special seniors' menu where all the classics like lambs brains or liver and onions are $13. <br/ <br/ The standard menu is not much more five of us had hearty dinners for about $140 all up including two steaks dishes, a salt and pepper calamari, a Greek lamb salad (great salad, slightly tough meat and a seafood salad, plus beer and hot thick chips. The scallop prawn surf sauce was addictively good l had to push the plate to the other side of the table to stop dunking various carbohydrates into it. <br/ <br/ Service is at the counter with meals brought to the table. The staff are mostly young but all enthusiastic the young lady working the bar accelerated our late side order of potato chips while we waited for our main orders. It's a good community location (gaming aside... . Hopefully more people will come to the new outdoor deck than to the one armed betting bandits inside.
