Urban Kitchen - Currituck County

If you are a foodie, run, don't walk, to Urban Kitchen. If the wait is an hour, grab a drink and wait. My wife and I are ashamed, after 12 years of vacations in Duck/Corolla, that we had never heard of Urban Kitchen. Possibly, we overlooked it in the strip of donuts, ice cream parlor, tap house, next to Harris Teeter location. We will never make that mistake again. Do not ask for substitutions or omissions of ingredients, just savor and enjoy every bite. We look forward to returning, multiple times, in future vacations to the Northern Outer Banks area. Yelp don't lie.

Excellent meal. Far exceeded my expectations and was probably the best meal I've ever had in the OBX. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted phenomenal.

Excellent food for a special evening! Small but very personal seating. Everything on the menu sounded so good. Great service from Zoey to start with the Lamb meatballs and a special cheese dish that was delicious! Chicken was so tender and seasoned Great. I'm sure they always have fish on menu or as a special. Husband had Mahi that he loved! Full bar to enjoy. Desserts that all sounded good. We had a Key Lime coconut crumbles dessert that was out of this world. This place should be on everyone's list of places to eat. I wish the drive from Oklahoma was shorter, just to come eat! The food was absolutely fantastic! A lady working at the Hampton Inn suggested the Urban Kitchen and said that of all the places to eat on the Outer Banks this was her favorite. She showed us a listing of all the restaurants and this is the one we picked after asking multiple questions. She did not steer us wrong. Go try it. You won’t break the bank either!
