When you enter everyone, it's warm and welcoming and I stood next to the county's food inspector waiting for his lunch. That's a very good sign. The food may be a hair expensive for Danville, but this is also better food than you can find at most Danville facilities so it is valid. I got the Nacho Special I wouldn't normally get, but that was surprisingly good. The wife has the chicken salad and we sat upstairs. Nice place. Owner gave us a free cookie for our first visit (which was good, but woman bakes better sorry!).
The hand is incredible customer service! You really care about their customers it show they have gone out of their way to drop off a veranda to almost close time because we in need (because illness) their some good heart genuine people still in this world please support so an amazing care small business they deserve it more thank you again for going out your way for us in a time of necessity!
People when you find yourself in the Danville, KY area, make sure to eat on Southern Plate catering. My wife had the Meatloaf Special and I had the KY Bourbon Burger. It was perhaps the best lunch we can remember. We both walked around records without saying a word. Only grunts and nodding in approval. The bread pudding is also the best I tasted. Rhonda is great and the staff is also super friendly. 6 stars and will come back soon!
What a wonderful hidden treasure. Found about this place from the nurses in the surgery center. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and supported on the order. The loft is not busy, but they had a ton of order outputs that keep them busy. The server/hole came and spoke to us and made sure we had everything we needed. We had the daily special Bluegrass Blackberry salad. Wow, what a wonderful mix of salad, chicken, fruit and nuts. And the dressing was a fantastic sweet temptation. In addition, we had a Chipotle chicken pack with spiced frits. My husband broke the pack so fast I had no time to say enjoy. Can't wait to try more in this little local business. FYI Parking can be difficult because the bank over the street has reserved all spots so we parked in the area of Baskin-Robbins.
Decided NOT to take the bypass stopped in the middle of the street and asked a worker in a hard hat where a good local dive was to eat lunch?he said turn right here and go to the sign that says Cafe?boy were we glad we did?atmosphere was fantastic and they were playing Bluesville on SirusXM we listen to in the car. Super friendly staff and David the chef was so attentive. Can?t wait to come back on our next road trip. Wonderful hospitality and delicious food ??
