I informed her I was cooking a meal to impress someone I had been dating a brief time. I asked her to suggest the best cake she had. The cherry cheesecake was recommended as the best to impress my date. Of course I couldn't open the container, I examined the cake which was a serving big enough for two. The price was $12. When I got home and examined the cake further I was horrified to find out it was not cheesecake it was no bake cheese whip. Needless to say I could not serve this imitation cheesecake to my guest so we had no dessert. This was a shameful representation. Patrons be aware of what you are really getting. Cheesecake and no bake cheesecake have very different consistency and very different in cost. I was definitely dissatisfied.
There are not enough good things to say about Cathryn’s. My twin sister told me about the bakery. It truly feels like family every time I visit. They know which twin is which by now (LOL). I have referred family and friends to Cathryn’s. In fact, the last time I visited, I went to an event later that evening saw one of their cakes at my friend’s event. Professional representation always and wonderful aesthetic. And I agree with the comment regarding the packaging: very polished down to the details. They make Philadelphia proud!
Their red velvet cupcake is top tier! Not to rich, perfectly moist and the perfect size!
Everything we've tasted from Cathryn's has been absolutely delicious
This was the ultimate disappointment I wanted the cake slices to be so good but boy it was plain dry nasty and I think old.. WARNING THE ICING WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING THING I TASTED I TOSSED THE WHOLE BAG IN THE TRASH.. MAN I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD GET A BAG FULL OF NASTY CAKES.. THESE REVIEWS MUST BE FROM FRIENDS
