My brother, who is a major foodie, in the Lower Bucks, PA area actually turned me to this place. The food here was as good as he said. I got the 8 oz. Seared Salmon (with Mango Habanero seasoning) 2 sides: Whipped Sweet Potatoes and Garlic Butter Broccoli $22.00. Plus, slice of Apple Peach Cobbler Cake $5.00 Nice sized piece of salmon and cooked nicely. Seasoning was just ok no real hint of Habanero. The sweet potatoes and broccoli were perfect. Apple peach cobbler was ok, but it had to have been sourced from elsewhere since it had no soul..lol Worth a shot IF you're in the area.
This business is Extremely Unprofessional! If the service is any indication on how the food taste caution!!! Do not to do business with this company due to the following : Poor customer services, they never pick up their phone and will only communicate via email and that's not ver frequent. Lack of final follow-up and invoicing for catering orders. However when I called to complain about the unprofessionalism I receive excessive phone calls on my personal phone Excessive phone early in the morning and then a text message refusing to honor proper service. This company is a joke don't bother!
I don't usually review things very often but I was soooooo disappointed in this meal that I had to make a review. I ordered the J Salmon Alfredo with broccoli and candied yams with UberEats and I was so excited to get it. I took one bite of my pasta and salmon and stopped to take a picture because I was appalled. It was clearly jar Alfredo sauce. Actual jar sauce. Disgusting. From scratch Alfredo sauce only has a few ingredients-Parmesan/Romano cheese, butter, garlic, heavy cream. So simple and makes a HUGE difference. Jar sauce is disgusting. The broccoli was frozen and had almost no seasoning. It was also too hard. The candied yams were from a can. The salmon was dry and overcooked. Disappointment in a platter. I tossed it. I'm only giving 2 stars because they were nice when they called about my order, honestly.
Excellent food and service. Could use more seating but still a great spot. Definitely, the best soul food from Jersey to Allentown. If you're ever in the upper northernmost parts of Pennsylvania you must give this Soul Food Restaurant a whirl. And their desserts are absolutely delicious!!! Can't go wrong here.
I have only eaten here once, but this is quality soul food. Amazing. I got the whiting with Mac and both were delicious. I'm sure their whole menu is perfect. I believe I've tried some of the Alfredo as well, which was addicting to say the least. Check this place out if you are ever craving soul food! It's a gem!
