Went for a few drinks/date night. Barely gave us the time of day and it wasn't that busy. If you don't look and smell like money don't waste your time here. There are too many other places to patronize that appreciate my cash.

We sat in their private room with all of the wine bottles which to have the room we would have to spend at least $200 which was no problem because there was 6 of us and we were ready to party. This is definitely a place for higher end drinking. If you want a place to get a beer and watch a ball game do not go here. It is great for a date or nice night on the town. Service was great and the owner came in later and suggested some nice bottles of wine we were treated awesome, but our tab was also over $550 so of course we were treated nice. Great place will go back.

One of my absolute favorite bars in the area. Amazing atmosphere and decor, wine and drink selection is fantastic. And the bartending staff is honestly the best in the Quad Cities, truly! I definitely make this a regular stop.

Accidentally walked in during a private party hosted by the owner of the bar. Once my husband and I realized our error, we were more than happy to find another place to have a drink. The owner stopped us and insisted that we stay and enjoy the party. We did end up staying for one drink to get to know the owner. Stand up guy. Thumbs up bar.

Wife and I were in town from Cedar Falls and R Bar was suggested by an old friend we were meeting up with. I suggested a quiet place (it was Saturday night) where we could all chat. We loved it! Quaint and mature. The wine room was astounding and goes to show good taste is timeless. My wife and old friend had wine (my wife loves Moscato and had 3 large glasses of whatever it was) and my old friend 's beau and I had beer. We both had 3 of Bent River 's Uncommon Stout. We really enjoyed the atmosphere here and each other 's company and that was because of the ability to talk and not yell over loud music or 'kids '.
